TXC Launches Industry-wide Smallest OCXO in a 5032 Footprint, ThermSymEros Series

TXC has released a new version of ThermSym OCXO product, ThermSymEros series, the ultra-miniature OCXO solutions, which support industry-wide smallest 5032 & 7050 packages for footprint selection to fulfill all 5G applications of usage scenarios. ThermSym OCXO product uses the own-developed thermal symmetry technology and in-house development of SC-cut crystal with high-Q factor as shown in Fig. 1, providing the ThermSymEros series to feature the excellent performance as shown in Table 1 and fully meet the requirements of 5G main applications for Remote Radio Unit (RRU), Small Cell, Open RAN and Optical Network.

Compared with the quartz-based Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) and Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) TCXO, ThermSymEros series powerfully supports better timing solution performance such as frequency stability over temperature as shown in Fig. 2, phase noise as shown in Fig. 3, aging, holdover, etc. to supply good external reference clock connection to PLL chipset for timing synchronization standards related to SyncE, IEEE 1588 and SONET/SDH applying in 5G network infrastructure.
