Reference for Green Product standards in TXC

The Green Product standards set by TXC is based upon the ROHS standards, Sony’s SS-00259, and other specific requirements of various customers.

Green Product Quality System

  1. Green product quality system of TXC is set to conform to the most rigid GPMS quality audit rules and can meet all requirements of various customers.
  2. We build up Green Product Management System (GPMS) on January 1st, 2006.
  3. We plan to upgrade GPMS to getting certification of IECQ QC080000 HSPM in Year 2008.

Product Hazardous Substance Free (HSF) Roadmap

  1. TXC had stopped manufacturing products that contained lead since May 30, 2006.
  2. We implemented a new material of insulator on 49S/SMD product to comply with halogen content requirement on May 1st, 2008.
  3. We plan to implement phosphorus (P) free material for all products in Year 2008.

Green Product Status

Level I :
All hazardous materials should be banned immediately and TXC conform to this rule completely.
Exemption:
Components that are not regarded in the RoHS or currently there is no substitution for such material or feasible replacement methods can be utilized.
SMD Glass Crystal:
7A/AA(5.0×3.2mm)、6X/AX(8.0×4.5mm)、7V(3.2x2.5mm)、7Y(5.0x3.2mm)、7S(2.5X2.0mm) series contain lead in glass glue but are regarded as EU RoHS directive(2002/95/EC)exempted items,7(c)-I Electrical and electronic components containing lead in a glass or ceramic other than dielectric ceramic in capacitors, e.g. piezoelectronic devices, or in a glass or ceramic matrix compound.

Reliability Information

  • The test report of those lead-free products showed that all products conform to the RoHS requirements.
  • Products/components are all attached with ICP test reports.
  • Packing materials are all conform to RoHS and Sony’s SS-00259 standards.
  • PB-free products when tested by solderability, the results are all conform to IPC_JEDEC J-STD-002 standards.
  • PB-free products when tested by the solder heat resistance, the results are all conform to J-STD-020 / MIL-STD-202 standards.

Note 1:

CAUTION - The "accelerated equivalent"soak requirements shall not be used until correlation of damage response , including electrical , after soak and reflow is established with the "standard" soak requirements or if the known activation energy for diffusion is 0.4 - 0.48 eV , Accelerated soak times may vary due to material properties , e.g. mold compound , encapsulant , etc. JEDEC document JESD22-A120 provides a method for determining the diffusion coefficlent.

 

Note 2:

The standard soak time includes a default value of 24 hours for semiconductor manufacture's exposure time (MET) between bake and bag and includes the maximum time allowed out of the bag at the distributor's facility . If the actual MET is less than 24 hours the soak time may be reduced . For soak conditions of 30 ℃/60% RH the soak time is reduced by 1 hour for each hour the MET is less than 24 hours , For soak conditions of 60 ℃/60% RH , the soak time is reduced by 1 hour for each 5 hours the MET is less than 24 hours .If the actual MET is greater than 24 hours the soak time must be increased , If soak conditions are 30 ℃/60% RH the soak time is increased by 1 hour. for each hour that the actual MET exceeds 24 hours . If soak conditions are 60 ℃/60% RH ,the soak time is increased 1 hour . for each 5 hours that the actual MET exceeds 24 hours .

2. Parts number : All SMD-type crystals will remains the same parts number; however, the DIP-type crystals will have different parts number.

 

3. Bar-Code :SMD-type crystals will remain the same; however, the DIP-type crystals will come along with a G mark.
